How a Pub Built in Ireland Found Its Home on Lundy’s Lane
In 2013, something extraordinary arrived on Lundy’s Lane—a shipping container filled not just with wood and artifacts, but with the very soul of Ireland.
Inside were the handcrafted elements that would become Doc Magilligan’s Irish Pub, designed and built in Ireland, then shipped across the ocean to create Niagara’s most authentic Irish pub experience. From the ornate bar to the rich wooden interiors, every detail was intentionally chosen to reflect the charm and character of old-world Irish pubs.
But the story doesn’t stop there.

Packed alongside the custom-built bar were hundreds of genuine Irish pub treasures—furniture, signage, glassware, and décor salvaged from historic pubs across Ireland that had since closed their doors. These carefully curated pieces preserve a cultural legacy and infuse our space with real history, personality, and soul.
As you sip your whiskey, enjoy a hearty Irish meal, or share a laugh with friends, take a moment to look around. You’re not just at a pub—you’re immersed in a living story. One that began in Dublin, journeyed across the Atlantic, and continues here at Doc Magilligan’s.
