St. Patrick’s Day festivities have come to an end at Doc Magilligan’s, but don’t worry, we've got you covered for the next holiday.  Easter is approaching and it's the 2nd biggest holiday on Irish calendars.

All weekend long, Doc Magilligan’s is throwing an Easter bash with the perfect combination of traditions from Ireland, Canada and even Poland.  It’s sure to be the can’t-miss Easter celebration in Niagara Falls.

Spruce up Your Egg Day with Irish Festivities

Aside from coming to Doc's for Easter, (more on that later), here are five ways to make any ordinary Easter celebration a truly Irish affair.

1. Your spring cleaning needs to be done by Good Friday.  Traditionally, this is done in preparation for the priest to bless the home.

2. Get a haircut on Good Friday.  According to superstition, this will prevent headaches in the upcoming year.

3. Label chicken eggs laid on Good Friday with a cross.  Save them to be eaten on Easter Sunday.

4. On Easter Sunday, get up early to watch the sunrise.  Catholic’s believe that this is the savior rising from his grave.

5. Throw a traditional cake dance. Whoever dances the longest wins the cake.
When you aren’t busy participating in these Irish traditions come down to Doc Magilligans! We have events all weekend long; start a new tradition by celebrating Easter in Niagara Falls.

Easter Weekend Kick Off

Starting Thursday night, kick off your Niagara Falls Easter weekend right. The Two Man Group play live for our Easter Party.  They’ll be taking the stage at 8pm, but make sure you show up early for our Ribs and Brew special.
We know abstaining from meat during Lent is a tradition for many, and on Good Friday we are catering our menu to those who do just that.

We’ll be having a fish fry, and a huge selection of seafood platters for you to enjoy. Then at 10pm the Sandy Vine Trio will be taking over Docs for a Good Friday full of great music.

An Easter Weekend Celebration

Come out Saturday night, for our always popular Prime Rib special. For just $19.95, have a plate of our slow-roasted prime rib au jus served with Yorkshire pudding, seasonal vegetables and champ.

While you savour your prime rib, enjoy music from the Mad Men. They’ll be starting their first set at 10 pm.

Dyngus Day at Doc's? Why Not!

Dyngus Day Buffalo Niagara Falls Ontario

On Easter Monday we’ve decided to mix things up a little.  Doc's will be hosting a Polish-American Dyngus Day celebration right here in Niagara Falls, Canada.

Traditionally, Dyngus Day is held to celebrate the conclusion of Lent, and the joys of Easter.  The holiday is big with our friends over the river in Buffalo, and we wanted to bring the celebrations closer to home.

Starting at noon, we’ll be serving the best homemade pierogis until we run out. Get here early to ensure you get your perogi fill.

If you are in Niagara Falls, anytime this Easter weekend, Doc Magilligan’s is the place to be. With festivities running from Thursday until Monday, A truly Irish Easter is best celebrated at Docs. Call today to book your reservations: 905-374-0021
